Big Boy Things

Isaac, at 10 months old, is getting used to some Big-Boy-Things. His fluffy curls were getting a little out of hand, so although he's already had a couple of trims, Momma sat him in the bathroom sink for a very thorough cut with Daddy's clippers (note the surprising quantity of curls left on the counter!). Now he's gone from cute and fluffy, to handsome, neat and dapper :). Also, since the advent of his little sister, Lara is only two months away, we've started to familiarize him with the larger car seat and the toddler bed he will eventually move into. As you can see, he thinks all these new things are pretty great! --Katie Aug. 31, 2008

Naw...not DapperDan yet -- definitely still very "cute and fluffy!" Maybe not so fluffy as he was, and certainly very handsome, but even if he has to vacate the official "BABY" spot in favor of Lara, he absolutely MUST stay soft and cuddly for at least another year!!! Of course he will glory in many "new and improved" items that show everyone how much more advanced he is than his baby sister, but as grandparents we can hardly bear the actual closing of his babyhood for some time yet. Maybe we could just pretend they're twins?! I was just talking to Bliss today, and we were thinking how fun it could be if your two families and Ann were in Utah, while Ben's and Jenny's and we are in Idaho... maybe we could share gas expense and rotate having once-a-month birthday-celebrating FHE's together -- whaddya think? Anyway, we're sure there must be the perfect house for you nestling somewhere beautiful on the Wasatch front....
