Well, I'm now half-way through this pregnancy and on Monday, June 23rd we went in for my regularly scheduled appointment as well as the exciting "gender" ultrasound. Guess what...Isaac is going to have a little sister! We are thrilled and very much looking forward to adding a little pink to our lives. The baby, whom we will likely call Lara, is doing great...measuring right where she should be with a vigorous little heart beat. So far this pregnancy has been very similar to Isaac's which means I've got it pretty easy...feeling comfortable, and loving the regular movement as little Lara bumps around inside. --Katie

We're thrilled for you! A little pink (or leaf-green/blue-lavendar as in the girl's blanket I showed you earlier) in the nursery is nothing but very good indeed. I'm sure Isaac will be a gallantly protective big brother who will know how to keep Lara from developing too much of our very natural GarnerGirl bossiness...
How fun to get a girl, every mother loves to have one, and I have enjoyed mine very much. Congratulations and you look great!
YEEHAW!! Congrats, Katie, I am THRILLED for you guys. I remember reading of Marjorie Hinckley that she was totally thrilled when she had one of each. She said she felt "complete". Enjoy! She is one lucky little girl. :)
